Fox Tale Games is an independent Australian board game publisher, founded in 2015.

The Projects

Lucidity: Six-sided Nightmares is a press-your-luck dice-rolling game. Sleep or stay awake, it’s your choice. One will get you more points, the other may save your life. Our first game, Lucidity funded on Kickstarter in July 2017.

Runika and the Six-sided Spellbooks is a dice-manipulation worker-placement game. Collect elements and learn runes. Ask your professors for help. Gain prestige within the academy to win. Runika is our second game, and funded on Kickstarter in June 2019.

Tempest: Shards of the Gods is a strategic card game of myths and legends. The game is played over a series of turns, in which players must ration their limited resources to build their decks and deploy troops with which to secure victory. Based in ancient history and myth, Tempest allows players to recreate stories of mythological adventure. This game is yet to be released.

The Founder

Shannon Kelly is a dedicated gamer and has been creating games in one form or another since he was old enough to crawl. He has long dreamed of publishing his own game and crowdfunding makes such a dream possible. In his real time, he works as an editor for an international publishing company.

Art on our website comes from a variety of illustrators. The various images are credited to their individual illustrator. The banner images are by India-Lee Crews. The Fox Tale Games logo is by Hakan Girgin. The original Fox Tale Games logo was done by Bev Kelly.
